Website Speechtopia

Speechtopia is a global edtech startup that utilizes speech and debate training to realize a gamified educational ecosystem for children and youth 6-18 years old. We believe that education needs to change from a hierarchical knowledge-based system to a socialized skilled-based system – and that speech and debate is the best way to get there. Through our unique online platform, we can host students from all over the world.

We are seeking part-time teachers for our online practice sessions around the Australian, British and US East Coast time zones: facilitators have minimal lecture, and instead lead competitive games like parliamentary debate, reader’s theater, model legislature and storymash. Teachers facilitate games and give feedback according to our professional criteria. While playing, students foster self-confidence, self-awareness and self-agency through true motivation-driven learning.
